The Award is in the memory of Smt. Anjani Mashelkar, mother of Padma Vibhushan Dr.R.A. Mashelkar, President, ILC-1-to honour her struggles in adverse circumstances as she single-handedly brought up her son!
- It is a national award of Rs. 1 Lakh-to recognize the spirit of a woman (over the age of 60), for overcoming the challenges of life.
- The Award celebrates her work and her life’s accomplishments against all odds.
- The Award Appreciates her role as an icon of inspiration for other women!
The Anjani Mashelkar Inspiration Award is a national award of Rs. 1 lakh and carries a citation and a trophy. It has been instituted by Padma Vibhushan Dr.R.A.Mashelkar, President of ILC-I, in memory of his mother, to honour her struggle in adverse circumstances which she faced in her life while single-handedly bringing up her son.
The award will be given in this spirit to democratize inspiration through the life and work of an elderly unsung Indian woman over the age of 60 years. Celebrating such role models will inspire others to be more and do more!
Eligibility Criteria
1. Indian woman above the age of 60 and living in India
2. Unsung hero should not be affluent or already decorated with recognition and well known in the public eye.
3. Work and life’s accomplishment should be against all odds and by overcoming hardships and challenges. Potential of becoming a role model.
4. Work should have a huge social impact.
5. Any field of work will be considered.
